Traveling to Egypt had been a dream of mine for years, and finally, I had the opportunity to visit Cairo and Luxor in April. The heat was intense, but the experience was worth it.
Cairo
I stayed at the Mina Marriott Hotel, and I was lucky enough to get a premium room with views of the pyramids. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The food and breakfast were delicious, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Visiting the pyramids was a highlight of my trip. I walked around them to key view points and marveled at the incredible sight. I also visited the Cairo Museum and bazaar, where I learned more about Egypt’s rich history and culture.
Luxor
After my stay in Cairo, I traveled to Luxor and stayed at the Hilton Hotel. The hotel had stunning views of the Nile river, and the staff was helpful and accommodating. I visited many landmarks in Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, Valley of the Queens, Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple.
The Valley of the Kings was an incredible sight, and I was fortunate enough to see the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. Karnak Temple was also impressive, with many different temples and hieroglyphics to explore. The Luxor Temple was a great experience, with stunning views and impressive architecture.
Photography Tips and Avoiding Scams
When traveling to Egypt, it is important to be cautious and aware of your surroundings. I recommend keeping your valuables close and being aware of people trying to scam you. I also asked permission before taking pictures of locals and made sure to be respectful of their culture and customs. When taking pictures of landmarks and archaeological sites, I brought a tripod to capture the moment.
